Sometimes God doesn’t even have to say a word… sometimes it’s a number! In my case the number is 6:33. I can’t tell you how many times in a week I look at the clock only to find out that it’s exactly 6:33. Dozens of times a month I see this number/time on my cell phone and my clock at home and without speaking a single word God says something to me… “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). Others may think that it’s just a strange coincidence, but I know better.
There are times when I have been struggling and worrying about things that were beyond my control, then I looked over at the clock to see “6:33.” That little reminder tells me to stop worrying and to seek God’s kingdom instead. At times I’ve been loaded down with the cares of life, distracted from what’s really important, only to look down at my cell phone to check the time and read those numbers once again… “6:33.” It whips my thinking back into line, and the distracting cares of life take a back seat to my pursuit of God’s kingdom and His righteousness.
