I had a sobering word to deliver to my friends at the Men’s Home Bible Study one night. I asked the men, “How many of you have children?” Three men raised their hands. I asked, “Have you realized yet that your kids are connected to you, both in regards to your failures AND your successes?” When you have a failure, the truth is that it doesn’t just affect you… it also affects those that you are connected to. The same holds true for successes. When we are blessed and victorious it affects those we are connected to.
This is a very important, underlying theme in the Bible. Open up the first pages of the Bible in Genesis and you discover that our great-grandfather Adam had a tremendous failure, and his failure didn’t just affect him… it affected his children, his grandchildren and all that followed in his footsteps. His failure was “passed down” to future generations. You and I are the “seed of Adam”. His DNA was passed down to us because we are connected to him.
But there’s good news! Jesus came to Earth as “The Second Adam”.
So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. – 1 Corinthians 15:45.
Those who choose to identify with Him, who CONNECT with Him by getting BORN AGAIN, get connected to His success and victory over death, Hell and the grave.
We are CONNECTED to one or the other… The First Adam or The Last Adam. If we never connect with the Last Adam through rebirth then we are ultimately connected to The First Adam and his failure. But, if we choose Jesus as our Lord, we get connected to The Last Adam and His success and victory. Do you know which Adam you are connected to?
