I’ve heard some people say, “God’s not interested in numbers.” I hate to be disagreeable, but I must insist that’s not true. Here are 3 numbers that I’m positive God is interested in, because Jesus said it Himself:
ONE:
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over ONE sinner that repents” Luke 15:7. (Jesus said that He would leave 99 sheep that are safe to go after just ONE that is lost… and Heaven rejoices when just ONE lost sinner is found!)
TWO:
“Again I say unto you, That if TWO of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” Matthew 18:19. (Effectiveness in prayer doesn’t come by having great numbers of people praying for/with you… it can come from just TWO who are in faith-filled AGREEMENT.
THREE:
“For where two or THREE are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” Matthew 18:20. (The world determines the success of an event based on how many people show up… but, we should determine the success of an event on whether or not Jesus shows up… it only takes TWO or THREE gathered in His name for this to happen.)
So you see, He really is interested in numbers… they just don’t have to be BIG numbers. That should make someONE like you very happy!
