You’ve probably heard this phrase associated with the Promised Land: “A land flowing with milk and honey.” Sounds like a good place to live! But, just understand this… if it’s flowing with milk and honey then you better be willing to milk some cows… and you better get over your fear of being stung by bees! Yes, even in the Promised Land there’s work to be done. Honey doesn’t flow from the hive into a quart jar on the breakfast table, and milk doesn’t flow from a cow’s udder into a gallon jug in your refrigerator. God has awesome blessings available for you in the Promised Land, but you may need to roll your sleeves up to receive them (or in the case of harvesting honey from a bee hive, roll your sleeves down).
