Some think that I’m narrow-minded, but that’s simply not true. I don’t have a narrow mind … I just have a narrow road that I’m walking on. I see others walking down the road next to mine. There are large crowds going down that road, but it’s going in the opposite direction, so I just stay on mine. I know where both roads are headed. I invite folks to join me on the road I’m traveling on, but to many it doesn’t look as fun and exciting as the road with the large crowds on it so they don’t accept my invitation. I’d be lying if I said I’ve never been tempted to change roads … but, then I remember again where both roads are headed and I determine within myself that my destination is more important than the approval of men … and more important than being part of the crowd. SO I CONTINUE MY JOURNEY … ON THIS NARROW ROAD … ANTICIPATING THE REWARD WHEN I REACH MY DESTINATION.
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is BROAD that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is NARROW that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
