I was reaching for the bar of soap one morning and noticed that there was a big gash on one of its corners. It looked like someone dropped the soap on the floor. The huge gash in its side gave testimony to the trauma it had been through. But, I didn’t throw the bar away. I still used it in spite of the gash. The soap’s purpose had not been negated just because it had been damaged.
There are people all around, much like that bar of soap, who’ve taken a fall in life and were left damaged as a result. But, a fall doesn’t nullify a person’s purpose or negate the gifting that is within them. Listen … your purpose, your calling, didn’t change because you took a spill. Yes, you may be bruised and you may bear the marks of a traumatic fall, but your purpose still remains in tact. God still wants to use you!
Receive encouragement from this verse of scripture found in the Message Bible in Romans 11:29 “God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty – never canceled, never rescinded.”
