When God created the world, Genesis 1:2 says, “IT WAS DARK.” But God didn’t stop there and say, “It sure is dark!” No! He continued with the words “Let there be light!”
Now, Joel 3:10 says something that seems to be quite contradictory … “Let the weak say ‘I AM STRONG.'” It almost sounds confusing to say the opposite of what you’re experiencing, doesn’t it? Usually, when you’re feeling weak you tend to say, “I’m weak” because that’s just part of facing your reality … UNLESS you want to change your reality!
The reality of the first stage of God’s creation on Earth was “IT WAS DARK.” In order to change that reality, God didn’t say what He saw or felt. Instead, He said what He wanted to exist. So you see, saying “I AM STRONG” when you’re feeling weak is not denying your current reality … it’s CREATING a new one.
If you’re going through a dark time in your life, there’s nothing wrong with admitting it. But, just remember what God did when He was faced with darkness. HE SPOKE LIGHT!
Romans 4:17
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
